The Victim Service program assists victims and survivors of domestic, sexual, and dating violence, as well as stalking and human trafficking. The program provides a support system through victim advocacy services, including support, information, counseling, and education about the dynamics of domestic violence relationships:
• Assistance creating a safety plan
• Assistance with filing for an injunction for protection and support during injunction hearings
• Assistance with completing applications for the Address Confidentiality Program
• Assistance with filing for the Attorney General’s Office’s Crime Victims Compensation program
• Referral to community partners
• Assistance with obtaining a Sexual assault exam
• Assistance with personal care items for those receiving advocacy services
• Counseling and Support Groups for survivors of crime
• Emergency shelter for those fleeing intimate partner violence (**For the South’s entry I would recommend this also include transitional housing for women and children fleeing intimate partner violence).
