The Gardiner Scholarship is a program that assists families in personalizing educational plans for children with specific special needs. Eligible students, aged 3 through 12th grade, must have a diagnosis such as anaphylaxis, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, deafness, Down syndrome, dual sensory impairment, hospital or homebound status, muscular dystrophy, Phelan McDermid syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare disease or condition, spina bifida, traumatic brain injury, visual impairment, Williams syndrome, or an intellectual disability (severe cognitive impairment). Additionally, students identified as high risk due to developmental delays and not older than 5 on September 1 may qualify for the year they apply. The Gardiner Scholarship enables parents to allocate scholarship funds to approved programs and providers, including private schools, therapists, specialists, curriculum, technology, and college savings accounts. Children in foster care, out-of-home care, or experiencing homelessness may also qualify.

Brevard County's Special Needs program is for residents with specific health and/or medical conditions needing assistance with sheltering in times of an emergency or disaster during an evacuation. Residents who meet should register in advance by phone or online.

Parent Education is an eight-week program designed to give parents the tools they need to raise their children effectively.

Provides overall support, education and advocacy for families and consumers dealing with mental illnesses. Helpline provides information, support, and referrals to local self-help groups. It offers advocacy to educate the public, fight stigma associated with mental illness, and increase support for research into the causes and treatments of brain disorders. It also helps family members locate relatives with mental illness who are missing and may be homeless.

Brevard Early Head Start provides children 0-3 and their families in-home and center-based support for child development and school readiness. Centers are located in Palm Bay and Cocoa.

Provides law enforcement and public safety services, primarily for Merritt Island.

Provides in-person and online classes and certifications to the general public in adult and pediatric first aid, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillators (AED). Among the other online topics are first aid for severe bleeding, cats and dogs and overdoses; blood-borne pathogens; babysitting and advanced child care training; psychological first aid for COVID-19 (free) and water safety for parents and caregivers (free). NVHS's mission is to “Eliminate Homelessness Among Veterans in Central Florida”. They assist homeless and at-risk of homelessness veterans and their families throughout Brevard County either get into or stay housed through 2 primary programs: Search and Rescue and Supportive Housing. Assistance is delivered through the programs by: Street level outreach to locate, provide basic needs, and place homeless veterans into housing and off the streets; Securing or providing funding for immediately at-risk of homelessness veteran families to pay overdue housing debts to keep them housed; Operating Supportive Housing facilities for homeless veterans with capacity to house 17 clients at one time.
